Sunil Gurung, M.D.


Dr. Gurung earned his medical degree at Manipal College of Medical Sciences in Nepal. He completed his residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine program in Bronx, N.Y., and his fellowship in diabetes, endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minn. Dr. Gurung has more than 15 years of experience. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

Dr. Gurung sees patients in the Westminster office and in Eldersburg.



Mahfuzul Khan, M.D.


Dr. Khan has close to 20 years of experience and specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of endocrine conditions including diabetes, thyroid and adrenal disorders, as well as pituitary and metabolic bone diseases. He is trained to perform thyroid ultrasounds as well as ultrasound guided fine needle aspiration biopsies.

Dr. Khan earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his residency at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, Virginia, and his fellowship at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Khan is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialties in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism. He also was named a “Top Doc” in Diabetes and Endocrinology by Baltimore magazine in 2017, 2019 and 2020.

Sara Loeffler, M.D.


Dr. Loeffler earned her medical degree from, and completed her endocrinology, diabetes and nutrition fellowship training at, the University Of Maryland School Of Medicine in Baltimore. She completed her residency training at Yale-New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. 

She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine subspecialty in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
