Updated Visitor Policy
Effective July 11, 2022
We ask that all Carroll Hospital visitors cooperate in promoting the comfort and well-being of our patients by observing the following visiting policy and visiting hours.
For the safety of our patients, please do not visit if you have a runny nose, cough or other symptoms of respiratory infection, gastrointestinal illness or any other suspected contagious disease. At this time, each patient can only have two visitors at a time. Masks are required.
General Visiting Hours
General hospital visiting hours for adult family members and friends are 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. These times may be restricted or extended based on the patient needs and type of care provided or unit-specific policies as outlined below.
Child Visitors
No child visitors under the age of 12, unless approved by the shift coordinator and unit leader.
Units:
Behavioral Health
Monday – Friday: 2 – 3 p.m., and 6 – 7 p.m.
Weekends and holidays: 2 – 4 p.m., and 6 – 7 p.m.
Emergency Department
Two visitors per patient at the discretion of ED staff
Critical Care Unit
One support person: unlimited visiting hours
All other family and friends: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. (only two visitors at a time)
The Family Birthplace
One support person: unlimited visiting hours
All other family and friends: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. (only two visitors at a time)
Pediatrics
Parents: unlimited visiting hours (accommodations made for one parent overnight)
All other family and friends: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. (only two visitors at a time)
Special Care Nursery
Parents: unlimited visiting hours
All other family and friends: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m., if one parent is present. Ten-minute visits with a maximum of two visitors at a time. No visiting hours between 6:45 p.m. – 7:15 p.m.
