Community Violence Programs
Community Violence Programs provide high-risk youth and young adults, in
the Central Park Heights community, with support, mentorship, community
connection, and sustainable resources. Resources and trusted referrals
offered to participants and community members include food, housing,
rehabilitation, employment and training opportunities, and other life
sustaining means. Needs and strengths are assessed and then services are
provided. The goal of these programs is to shift the trajectory of
violence by changing norms within the community. Assets, both people and
services, already found within the community, enable this work to be
successful.
