Pediatric Critical Care Transport
Pediatric Critical Care Transport — both ground and air — is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to stabilize and transport sick children from a referring facility to the Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai. Our transport care team includes a pediatric intensive care unit physician, a pediatric critical care nurse, a nurse practitioner, a respiratory therapist, a paramedic and an emergency medical technician.
The transport program provides immediate feedback from the attending pediatric intensivist to the referring hospital, and referring pediatricians are welcome to remain involved in the patient's care. When no longer critical, patients can be transferred back to the referring hospital.
