Pediatric Emergency Medicine
The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai houses the only pediatric emergency care center in northwest Baltimore.
Pediatric emergency services are provided 24 hours a day by board-certified pediatricians in our Pediatric Emergency Care Center, a cheerful, child-friendly environment created to make a child's emergency
room experience as positive as possible.
Features include a separate pediatric treatment area, full-time pediatric emergency physicians and pediatric-trained nurses, and play areas. In addition, the Sinai's pediatric emergency department is autism-friendly, with staff specially trained to meet the specific needs of young patients with autism spectrum disorder and resources including a special toy box filled with items that can help alleviate anxiety.
