The Center for Wound Care at Northwest Hospital

The Center for Wound Care at Northwest Hospital has a highly skilled team of experts who provide comprehensive wound treatment with the goal of healing or stabilizing wounds as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Non-Healing Wounds

A wound care specialist should be consulted immediately about non-healing wounds. In addition to being painful, non-healing wounds can lead to infections and, in the worst cases, gangrene or amputation.

Wounds can develop for various reasons. Among them are:

  • Diabetes, cancer and certain other diseases
  • Ulcers and bedsores
  • Animal and insect bites
  • Poor circulation
  • Chronic bone infections
  • Radiation tissue damage
  • Skin grafts
  • Crush injuries
  • Surgery or trauma
  • Fungus infections

Our Program

Physicians at the Center for Wound Care at Northwest Hospital perform thorough evaluations and provide accurate diagnoses (using cutting-edge, evolving technologies to determine the exact cause of a non-healing wound), effective treatments and post-acute outreach services.
