Welcome from Program Leadership

Thank you for your interest in the Pediatrics Residency Program at The Herman and Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai!

We are the only community hospital in Maryland with a stand-alone pediatrics residency training program, and we first received accreditation from the American Council for Graduate Medical Education 70 years ago. Situated in northwestern Baltimore City, we serve a large portion of the local neighborhoods, the greater Baltimore area, and surrounding counties. The Children's Hospital at Sinai provides a great environment for a diverse group of trainees to be transformed from novice pediatric interns into accomplished pediatricians. Our program comprises a total of 25 residents, which includes a pediatric chief resident. We provide clinical exposure, academic insight, research & quality improvement opportunities, and leadership development all in the intimate setting of a community hospital. Our graduates have consistently matched into competitive fellowship programs and practiced successfully in general pediatric positions across the country.

The Children's Hospital at Sinai is the busiest pediatric community hospital in the region, and we continue to grow in our mission to teach and train new pediatricians and provide excellence in clinical care.
