The Sinai Difference

The Sinai Difference

Every graduate medical education (GME) program teaches you how to be technically proficient. The GME programs at Sinai Hospital teach you something more: how to be a leader. Here’s how Sinai prepares you to stand at the forefront of your field.
Resident-Focused by Design

Many teaching hospitals put fellows first. Sinai is different. All of our programs are designed with resident learning as our primary focus. In fact, many of our programs are open only to residents—so there are no fellows at all. You’ll get more hands-on learning, more autonomy, and more individualized mentoring here than just about anywhere else.

Richer Diversity

As Maryland’s largest community teaching hospital—one that serves inner city, suburban, rural, and even international populations—Sinai gives you access to a complete spectrum of patients, across all ethnic, socioeconomic, and cultural demographics. We also offer a broader continuum of care not only on campus, but also in conjunction with partners like Johns Hopkins, giving you more opportunities to care for the whole patient. In the end, you’ll be prepared for any career path you want to follow.

A Nationally Leading Model of Care

Our programs immerse you in Maryland’s innovative—and nationally recognized—model of care. You’ll learn how to be a physician—and a voice for healthcare progress in your community.
